Your cycle, explained.

Bloomura is a period and cycle tracker that shows which of the four phases you are likely in, what many people notice in each — and where every piece of health information comes from.

Today: the luteal phase card, day 20, next period in 5 to 13 days.

Four phases, in colour and in words

Bloomura works out which phase you are likely in from the days you log, and says what it rests on. Each phase has its own colour, icon and name, so it reads in any light and for any eyes.

  • Menstrual

Your period: the days you bleed. The first of them is day one of your cycle.

  • Follicular

From your period towards ovulation, while an egg matures in one of the ovaries.

  • Ovulatory

The days around ovulation, when an egg is released. Bloomura shows an estimated week — never a method of contraception.

  • Luteal

From ovulation until your next period begins.

Clinically, the menstrual days are the opening part of the follicular phase; like most apps, Bloomura shows them as a block of their own. Sources: Cleveland Clinic · NHS

What it does

  • Log what you choose

Period days and flow, discharge, symptoms and moods with how strong they were, energy, sleep, temperature, ovulation tests, medicine, your own tags and a note for any day. Removed a day by mistake? Undo it.

  • Estimates that show their working

Your next period and your likeliest ovulation week, always as a range from your own logs, saying what each rests on — and “not known yet” when your logs cannot support a number. Never a method of contraception.

  • A source under every paragraph

A free library of articles and phase guides, written in Bloomura’s own words from the NHS, the Cleveland Clinic, the US Office on Women’s Health, Brook and peer-reviewed research. No paywall, no adverts, no sponsored articles.

  • Trends, in charts and in words

Your cycle and period lengths, and what you logged in each phase. Descriptions of your cycles — never a judgement of them.

  • A report for your doctor

A PDF made on your phone from your own log, to share wherever you choose.

  • Reminders that stay discreet

Off until you turn them on, scheduled by your phone, and saying only that it is a reminder unless you choose otherwise.

Clear, calm, and honest about uncertainty

Every mark has a word in the key.
